Photo Library Access

ReelMap Studio cannot see, browse, or scan your personal photos. Here is exactly how the app interacts with your photo library:

• Saving videos (add-only): The only photo-library permission the app requests is iOS's "Add Photos Only" permission, used solely to save the finished videos you create into your camera roll. This permission does not allow the app to view, read, or access anything already in your library.
• Choosing listing photos: When you pick photos for a Photos→Tour, the app uses Apple's system photo picker, which runs outside the app. The app only ever receives the specific photos you tap to select — it has no visibility into the rest of your library.
• Cloud-first Saved Videos: completed cloud-rendered videos remain in your account for streaming and optional download. Opening Saved Videos does not automatically save full copies to your phone or Photos library. You can choose to enable private cloud backup for phone recordings; existing phone copies are not removed automatically. “Free phone space” verifies the backup before removing an app-private copy, and does not delete your Photos library. Cloud-backed videos require an internet connection unless separately downloaded. Cloud video backups are encrypted in storage and accessed through account-authorized, temporary playback links. You can delete backups from Saved Videos or through Studio account deletion.

1. Information We Collect

We keep what leaves your device to a minimum. ReelMap Studio is designed with privacy in mind:

• Videos: Your recordings are stored locally on your device. A video is only uploaded when you choose to render or export it in the cloud, and only to produce your finished video.
• Listing Photos: Photos you select for Photos→Tour stay on your device, except that small copies are sent to OpenAI to detect each room and arrange the tour, and the photos are uploaded when you render the video in the cloud.
• Settings: Most preferences are saved locally on your device. If you sign in, we store your selected operating city, state or region, and country, including international markets. We record observed setup progress and the time our server confirms onboarding, along with tracked market-selection and authenticated activity dates, to provide market-relevant features and calculate account, setup, and active-user counts. A confirmation of previously completed setup is recorded when received; we do not infer its original completion date. International reporting markets are kept separate from US partner targeting. We also keep aggregate first-observed dates for US markets, without account identifiers. Historical first-market dates are not inferred.
• Calculator Tools: Calculator inputs are saved on your device and share cards are generated locally as images. When you enter a full property address in the Mortgage Calculator or Net Sheet to look up property taxes, that address is sent through our server to RentCast to retrieve public tax records; other calculator figures are not sent to RentCast. If you choose to generate a calculator video script, the relevant figures are sent to our server and our AI provider to draft it.
• Limited Operational Analytics: We collect limited feature-usage and market-activity information needed to operate and improve the app. Signed-in primary-market activity is used only in aggregate city counts and is not shared with sponsors.
• Account Information: If you sign in, we maintain the account information needed for authentication, profile synchronization, and account-linked features. If you choose to connect with a partner through that partner's invitation code or QR code, we share your name, brokerage, email address, and profile photo (if added) with that partner so they can identify and support the connection. If you register in the app for a partner event, we share your registration name, email, phone number, and brokerage with that event's host for registration and check-in.

2. Third-Party Services

ReelMap Studio uses the following third-party services to provide functionality:

• OpenAI: When you generate AI-powered scripts, your prompts are sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. When you build a Photos→Tour, small copies of your selected listing photos are sent to OpenAI to identify rooms and arrange the tour. When OpenAI is the active Gravity transcription service, audio from your selected video is sent to OpenAI to recognize spoken words. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data, and per OpenAI's API data usage policy these inputs are not used to train their models. Transcription results are returned to ReelMap Studio to prepare your captions.
• Deepgram: When Deepgram is the active Gravity transcription service, audio extracted from your selected video is sent to Deepgram to recognize spoken words and return word timestamps and confidence scores. These results are used to prepare and synchronize your captions. We opt out of Deepgram's model-improvement program for these requests; your content is not used to train AI models. Deepgram's privacy policy applies to its processing.
• Google Places: When using the Lifestyle Videos feature, location searches are processed through Google's Places API. Google's privacy policy applies.
• RentCast: When you use the address-based property-tax lookup in a calculator, RentCast processes the property address to return available public tax records. The displayed tax is historical and may differ from future tax bills.
• Apple and RevenueCat purchases: ReelMap Studio offers optional, one-time StudioToken purchases. Apple handles iOS payments; RevenueCat supports purchase verification and account-linked purchase records. We and these providers process account identifiers and transaction information, including product identifiers, purchase status, and refund status, to verify purchases and maintain StudioToken balances. ReelMap Studio does not receive your full payment-card details.

Gravity transcription consent: Before audio is sent to Deepgram, the app asks you to review and accept an updated notice naming OpenAI and Deepgram. Tapping Continue gives permission for the processing described in that notice; Cancel does not. The optional “Don't show this again” checkbox only controls future display of the same notice version. Acceptance of an older notice does not authorize the new Deepgram notice.

Sponsored Content

ReelMap Studio is free and supported by sponsored placements from businesses (such as mortgage lenders, title companies, home warranty providers, and insurance providers) that pay us for advertising visibility in the app. Here is how that works with your data:

• Sponsored placements do not share your personal data. We do not share your name, contact information, videos, photos, or any other personal information with a business merely because it has a sponsored placement in the app.
• Partner connections you choose: If you intentionally connect with a partner through that partner's invitation code or QR code, we share your name, brokerage, email address, and profile photo (if added) with the partner you selected so they can identify and support your connection.
• Event registrations you choose: Tapping Register for a partner event shares your saved or supplied registration name, email, phone number, and brokerage with that event's host. Optional text reminders and follow-up communications require your separate consent.
• Market-based display only: the city and state you set in the app are sent anonymously with the request that loads the sponsor card, solely so we can show a placement relevant to your market. That sponsor-card request is not tied to your identity. Separately, if you sign in, your primary market and latest market-activity date are stored with your account for app features and aggregate internal counts; sponsors never receive that account record.
• Anonymous tap counts: when a sponsored card is tapped, we record an anonymous, aggregate tap count so we can report overall placement performance to sponsors. No personal or device-identifying information is included.

3. Data Storage

By default your data stays on your device:

• Most settings, unbacked phone recordings, and in-progress project clips remain on your device. Cloud-rendered videos and phone recordings you choose to back up are retained in your Studio cloud library.
• If you sign in, we store the account, profile, primary operating market, and latest market-activity date needed for account-linked features and aggregate city reporting
• Content is sent off your device to fulfill app features you request or enable — AI scripts and Photos→Tour send needed text or photos to OpenAI; Gravity sends selected-video audio to OpenAI or Deepgram for transcription; cloud rendering uploads needed video or photos; and enabling video backup uploads eligible phone recordings to your private cloud library.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal data. Data leaves your device only for the app operations described in this policy — for example, synchronizing signed-in account and primary-market information, sending photos to OpenAI to detect rooms, uploading a video for cloud rendering, completing a partner connection, or registering for a partner event that you intentionally request (see Third-Party Services and Sponsored Content above). Partner connections share your name and email with the selected partner; event registration shares your registration details with the event host. We do not share your data with third parties for unrelated advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

ReelMap Studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Your Rights

You can control your content and delete your Studio account from within the app:

• Delete your Studio account: Open Settings, find the Account section, and choose Delete Account. After you confirm, your Studio account and its account-linked personal data are removed. Private cloud-media cleanup may continue automatically if a storage service is temporarily unavailable. You do not need to email or call customer service to initiate deletion.
• Studio only: Deleting your Studio account does not delete your separate TheReelMap.com account or its website records, your Apple ID or Google account, videos already exported to your device's Photos library, or entries saved in your calendar. Shared links that depend on a deleted Studio-hosted video may stop playing; independently saved copies are not removed.
• Security and shared records: Minimal security records prevent old sign-in sessions from accessing a deleted account. Shared event and accounting records are removed or anonymized rather than deleting an organizer's event or another person's records. Event hosts may retain information you previously shared with them under their own privacy policies.
• Delete any video by removing it from your device
• Reset app settings at any time through the Settings screen
• Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data
• Contact us using the address below with questions or requests concerning account-linked data

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
